Workflow — Claim-Driven Writing¶
Methodology and applied prototypes for the seven-phase claim-driven workflow used to write every manuscript section in this portfolio. Built around the rule that figures serve claims, claims serve a thesis, and the thesis answers the research question — with the figure_generator engine executing phases 4–6 under a strict single-figure-per-session discipline and reproducibility metadata embedded in every output.
Notes¶
- 2026-04-18 — Claim-driven workflow. The methodology note: why figure-first bottom-up writing produces "figure-tour" sections, the seven-phase inversion, the vertical mermaid claim→evidence map, and the three-tier data organisation that makes it executable. This is the entry point for everything in this tab.
- 2026-04-18 — J2 methodology prototype. Retrospective seven-phase pass on J2's methodology section. Surfaces two missing figures (stress-correction ablation + integral-residual visualisation) and two one-sentence paragraph fixes as the R2 interventions with highest reviewer-defensibility return.
- 2026-04-18 — J3 methodology prototype. Retrospective pass on J3's centrifuge methodology. Surfaces three missing figures (centrifuge-vs-numerical power-law, MAC mode shape, PPT equilibration), three paragraph fixes, and two figure culls.
- 2026-04-18 — V methodology + results prototype. Prospective pass on V (both methodology §2–§5 and results §6–§8), written before the manuscript draft exists. 15 figures, 5 tables, and a synthesis of what the methodology and results halves share — most load-bearing being the equivalence-proof claim and the regime-split ablation.
- 2026-04-18 — V&V commission 6: equivalence-proof derivation. The load-bearing theoretical claim in V §3. Gaussian-linear equivalence of state-function OLS and Johansen reduced-rank MLE, with explicit conditions and three counterexamples. §11 adds Monte Carlo verification (2026-04-18) — theorem empirically confirmed.
- 2026-04-18 — J2 results prototype. Results-section seven-phase pass on J2. Nine figures mapped to six claims; identifies per-bucket load-share, lid-vs-skirt decomposition, and SHM-threshold/standards overlay as the three R2 figures needing confirmation or creation.
- 2026-04-18 — J3 results prototype. Results-section pass on J3 (all 18 R1 comments already closed). Verifies nine figures support six claims; identifies the centrifuge-vs-numerical power-law comparison as the figure that binds J3 and J2 as companions.
- 2026-04-18 — J5 methodology prototype. Prospective pass on J5 ahead of drafting. Five claims, seven figures, three tables — cleanest claim structure in the portfolio. Hero figure is the population VH envelope with 5th-percentile 30 % below deterministic.
How to use this tab¶
Run one prototype note per manuscript section (methodology, results). Each prototype produces (a) a claim list, (b) a claim→evidence mermaid diagram, (c) figure specs ready to paste into a figure_generator session, (d) paragraph skeletons that commit the argument before figures are rendered, and (e) two coherence passes that diagnose missing evidence and redundant figures. The output is a prioritised list of small, locatable, actionable interventions.
The workflow tab is deliberately separated from the Papers tab (which carries the final manuscript-derived content) and the Reviews tab (which tracks peer-review cycles). Content here is methodological — how the papers get written, not what the papers say.
